HSC and Beyond
Last Tuesday, 7th February, Macquarie University came to our school for our first Year 12 HSC and Beyond session. The guest speakers from the university provided valuable insight and information about the various careers available for students post-graduation. It was an excellent opportunity for our students to get a better understanding of the diverse paths they can take and what the university has to offer.
One of the highlights of the event was having an ex-student Molly Jinks (BMGS Alumni, 2021), who represented the University as the student ambassador. It was wonderful to see her share her experiences and how her time at Macquarie University has helped shape her career. The students were inspired to hear how the university's programs and resources helped her achieve her goals, and it gave them a better understanding of what they can expect from university life.
The guest speakers from Macquarie University shared detailed information about the different faculties, courses and career prospects available. They also spoke about the admission process and the support services offered by the university. The students were fascinated by the wide range of options available to them and were keen to learn more about specific programs.
The session was an eye-opener for many students as it gave them a clearer idea of the possibilities beyond their high school years. It was great to see students actively engaging with the speakers and asking questions about their areas of interest. It was also an opportunity for students to network and make connections with the university representatives, which could prove valuable in the future.
We are grateful to Macquarie University for taking the time to visit our school and provide our students with valuable information about their future career paths. We are confident that the students who attended the session will have a better understanding of the opportunities available to them and will be better equipped to make informed decisions about their future.
We look forward to hosting more guest speakers from other universities in the future. We believe that these sessions will play a vital role in helping our students make the right choices and achieve their goals.
