Music Report

In Classroom Music our Year 8 students are learning about different instruments of the orchestra, as well as practicing simple songs on piano keyboards. Year 9 Music Elective students are composing original theme music for video game characters of their own making and also playing keyboards during their practical sessions.

Instrumental Music students are making great progress in learning to play their instruments this term. Their teachers would like them to practice at home for at least 30 minutes each week, to continue improving their skills and to gain more confidence when playing in public.

We are looking forward to showcasing some of our students' talents next Term, so look out for concert and assembly performance announcements soon!

An important reminder: It is essential that all instrumental music students go to PAC for their allotted lessons on time. It is their responsibility to know when their lessons are on. This information is published on Teams each week. Lessons are only 30 minutes long and music teachers can't search for students who forget to come.

Currently we have Piano and Woodwind lessons on Monday and Friday, Guitar and Bass on Tuesday, Drums on Wednesday and Singing on Thursday. Sign-up forms for Term 2 are available from the office or Mrs McGibbon.

Finally, students who would like to hire a guitar, bass or keyboard for home practice can collect a form from the office or from Mrs McGibbon.
