Supporting your child with anxiety
Anxiety is something that we all experience at differing levels throughout our days.
Together school and home can support the children through their emotions.
Georgina Manning talks about the Anxiety Curve. This is something that adults can support their children with. The sense of achievement they feel when they move through the Anxiety curve helps them the next time they are experiencing something they are worried about.
Below is also the Stepped Approach that Georgina talks about. It is about thinking of small steps that the children can take in the lead up to doing the task that they find worrying.
