Vocational Education and Training News 

Welcome to the start of VET programs in the College this year.

 

There are a lot of action in this space at present.

 

Students need to make sure they have actioned the following with their VET teachers moving forward:

  1. Fully complete the documents that have been handed to you in relation to enrolments and your induction. (extra forms are at the VET/Careers Office- to be handed to your VET teacher. The induction book is also located on Moodle under your course)
  2. Complete your USI and email this to VET@marash.qld.edu.au. (Make sure you keep it is a secure place as this will be a number that you will need to access for the rest of your life)

NB:  The forms and USI are just for Hospitality and Workplace Skills.

Change of Process 

All students who wish to conduct work experience, secure a SAT or change existing days/details/subject changes, follow the process below:

  1. Email -VET@marash.qld.edu.au  to request a meeting 
  2. You will receive with a nominated time suitable to attend this meeting
  3. Please be prompt as other students will be booked before and after your appointment.

(Please do not just turn up during class time without an appointment)

Pathways to Medicine

Many senior students enjoyed our recent Pathways to Medicine Lunchbox session late last week. Students heard from Bond University, Griffith University, University of Queensland plus recent students’ experiences. All presentations have been emailed to the students.
