Student Services  - Wellbeing

The Wellbeing Support Team are back and looking forward to a new term full of tools, tips, and support to help you in any way we can.

Anxiety doesn’t really vanish forever. It is just like any other feeling you have – sadness, happiness, frustration, anger, love etc… Just like you can’t get rid of these emotions from you brain, you can’t get rid anxiety either. (This is normal) But the GOOD news is that you CAN manage your anxiety through a number of ways including counselling support and mindfulness exercises.

If you want to talk, we are here to listen.

Talk to your Year Level Coordinator to organize an appointment.

We look forward to meeting you.

Doctors in Schools Program

During school terms, a weekly health / GP medical clinic is provided at Scoresby Secondary College.

Working in the clinic is a Registered Nurse called Jo Morkham, and two doctors who alternate at the clinic called Dr Prashima Illango and Dr Amitabh Ilango and yes, they are a husband-and-wife team!

The health/GP medical clinic is a free, bulk billed service and we ensure your privacy and information is kept confidential. There may be

some circumstances where we gain your consent to share your information with an appropriate person.

We are here to help you with your health needs. Sometimes it can be hard to get to see a doctor after school or over the weekends. Our service is provided by the Victorian Government to make primary health care more accessible for all students at the college.

We are well placed to offer support and guidance on a broad range of health-related issues. We want you to have your health needs met and supported so you can be in your best health.

We open from 8.30 - 4pm on Thursdays, so if you need any information or support about our service, please feel free to come and have a chat with us.

You can make an appointment directly with the GP or Nurse or speak to your Head of School Leader to make an appointment and they will notify us.
