Meet our new staff

Meet our new staff

In the first few editions of NCS Bytes we would like to introduce you to some our new staff. We have had 10 new staff members join our school this year. Here is a bit about some of them. We are excited to have these staff members join our school community and we trust you will also make them feel welcome if you see them around.

Mr Cameron Lee - Secondary Science Teacher

Hi, I'm Mr Lee! For the last decade my wife Ruth and I lived in Wollongong. I was teaching at Illawarra Christian School and we recently had a son named Micah. This year we moved to Nowra and I've joined the wonderful Science-teaching team at NCS. I'm looking forward to sharing my love of Jesus, doing hands-on Science with students, learning from the other staff and nurturing connections with the community. Outside of school, I love hanging out with all my natural and spiritual families, veggie gardening, art and craft, playing music, trying to ride my soft-top, spending time in nature and exploring God's Word.

Miss Rebekah Gordon - Year 5 Teacher

I am excited to be teaching Year 5 this year at NCS. Before arriving at this school I lived up in Sydney (Sutherland Shire) and taught at the wonderful St George Christian School. In my free time I love to draw using graphite, charcoal and digitally on an ipad. I also love watching heaps of movies and reading books.

I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the lovely students, staff and families at NCS and becoming a part of the community.

Mrs Joanne Beattie - Secondary English Teacher

This is my first year as a staff member at Nowra Christian School and I am delighted to be teaching Year 7 and 8 English. Prior to this appointment I worked at Tumbarumba High School teaching English, HSC Music, and Special Education for 9 years. Our family moved to the Shoalhaven from Cabramurra, the highest town in Australia! I love spending time with my family and exploring God’s incredible creation around us. I am looking forward to seeing all my students learn, grow, and achieve amazing things at NCS in 2023.
