What a splash!

Our swimming carnival was a huge success! Congratulations to all the participants, everyone made it a day to remember. Thanks to all who came out to support, cheer and make this event so special. It was wonderful to see so many students and staff going to the effort to dress in their house colours and make signs and props to cheer from the sidelines.

A big thank you to all of the parents and carers who came to support our students and to the staff members who worked hard to make the carnival a success.

We can't wait for next year!

Welcome Back Assembly

On the first day of term it was wonderful to welcome over 30 new students and their families to our school community.  We also held a Years 1-12 Welcome Back Assembly, where we were able to officially welcome our new Principal, Mr Jolliffe, along with nine new staff members. Mr Jolliffe talked to us about getting the balance right, helping us to think about what we should be spending our time on this year.  Learning more about God was top of the list, as well as working on our character traits like kindness and respectfulness.

Our Secondary Chaplain, Mr Petts also introduced our devotional theme for the year, which is 'Good News' and focuses on the Gospel of Luke.

Kindergarten's First Day

On Monday 6 January, our 2023 Kindergarten had an exciting and successful first day of school. Our little ones have adjusted to their new surroundings and have made new friends in no time!

After getting their photo taken with our 'Welcome to Kindy' sign, the day started with a warm welcome from their teachers, who helped them settle into their new classroom. The students were then able to explore their new environment.

While the students settled in well to their classrooms, their parents/carers enjoyed morning tea and coffee.

We are so proud of our Kindergarten students and are grateful for their positive attitudes and eagerness to learn. We are confident that they will have a wonderful year and can't wait to see all of their growth and achievements.

Kinder meet their Year 6 buddies!

This Term, 6F and Mrs Flippence will visit KKW every second Wednesday afternoon for 40 minutes or so to help our Kindy students settle into school routines. At the same time 6P and Mrs Plumb are visiting KG to do the same thing.  In future weeks, Year 6 students will also hopefully read to their Kinder buddies. This buddy program was cancelled during Covid so we are all very excited to see it resume.
