Careers and Pathways

The start of the year has been an exciting time in the Careers and Pathways area. Our year 11 VCE VM students were visited from Christine Panagiotou from the HWLLEN. She discussed Structured Workplace Learning placements and how they are a valuable learning experience.

Our year 12 VCE students experienced a first for the college, as they attended a university day at La Trobe. Students learnt about the university and different entry options and courses. They had a tour of the university and started learning about VTAC and scholarships. They also got to participate in a series of workshops run by La Trobe and partake in some O week celebrations at The Agora.

On the topic of year 12's, in the coming weeks the students will commence individual pathway interviews to start planning for their post schooling life.

Looking forward this term, our next big event is the Career Networking for Young People excursion on the 23rd of March for year 10 students. Consent and more information will be released soon.

There are many exciting career and pathway excursions, incursions and opportunities planned for students in 2023 - career expo's, real industry job interviews, Morrisby profiling and work experience programs. More details will come soon.
