Instrumental Music

Starting off on the right note

Welcome back to all of our families for 2023! At the start of the year it's a good time to consider purchasing an instrument for your child if they are enrolled in lessons. It is a condition of lesson enrolment that students practice between their lessons, either at home or at school on a school instrument. Here is a video on the best way to practice a musical instrument.

Good local music retailers include Allegro Music in Thomastown, Music Land in Fawkner or High Street Music in Preston. Rent to buy options may be available and can help keep instruments affordable, just ask in store. While ALDI, Amazon and eBay instruments might seem like a tempting bargain, they are poor quality instruments and not good options for students. Purchasing a good quality instrument will bring students many years of enjoyment as they develop. It is a great investment you can make for their future.

Students should speak to their Instrumental Music Teacher for good purchasing options or families can contact Cameron Stark (Instrumental Music Coordinator) via phone or email on Compass for more information including quality second hand options.

New Enrolments

It has been fantastic to see new enrolments coming through in the program as interest in music lessons continues to grow. In 2023 we have a total of 6 Instrumental Music Teachers offering a wide range of different instruments. If you wish to enrol your child, guardians must complete the Google Form located below at the school website. Please note that Piano/Keyboard is currently at capacity and students will go onto a waiting list. Music Fees will soon be issued via Compass and can be paid online. Please pay these at your soonest convenience once received.
