Science -Force & Movement

This term we are doing a science inquiry on Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion. Students will learn about these laws and for the duration of the unit, students will conduct a series of class experiments to demonstrate the science behind each law. Students develop their skills writing a scientific report to demonstrate what they have learnt.

For the first three weeks of term, students will be required to complete a homework task to consolidate their understanding of each law. The new homework grid will be handed out in week 4. 

Students will study simple machines such as pulleys, magnets and levers and complete experiments using Lego Technics to explore these concepts. Students will participate in an incursion on Tuesday 21st November where they will build a billy cart and test it.
