Mathematics

The learning focus for Number and Algebra will be applying the order of operations. Furthermore, students will revise the four processes as well as algebra, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Students will apply their knowledge and demonstrate their mathematical reasoning when solving open ended questions.

For Measurement and Geometry, the learning focus areas will be the properties of 3D shapes, transformation (flip, slide, rotate), mapping and volume. We will revise perimeter and area in combination with the addition and multiplication processes.

The students will review Statistics and Probability concepts such as the language of chance and probability and the representation of data.
