School Food Garden Update
What a great start to the year in our School Food garden!
A big thankyou to all the families who helped care for the garden in the summer holidays- our chickens and plants are all thriving thanks to you.
A special welcome to our Grade 3 students, who are new to the garden program this year.
This term we are learning a lot about safely using tools, how to care for our chickens, composting, and of course tasting fresh vegies from our garden.
Sweetcorn and carrots have been particular favourites so far.
Keep an eye on compass for announcements about our garden stall. It happens after school on Fridays and you can buy fresh eggs, vegies and seed packets to support our garden.
We will soon be seeking parent volunteers to help care for the chickens and garden in the Easter holidays.
If you would like to help out contact joanna@cultivatingcommunity.org.au or come and say hi in the garden on Fridays.
