Year 1/2

This term in Inquiry, 1/2 students have been studying the central idea that “Everyone plays a role in the community”.Students have been identifying the communities they belong to, such as class, school, families and culture. They are continuing to explore the similarities and differences between their own and other communities and how individuals participate in and contribute to their community. Students will also investigate how they can help others to feel like they belong within these different communities. Over the remainder of the term students will continue to discuss the themes of inclusion, cooperation, respect and acceptance through both Inquiry and Literacy when reading and discussing a range of rich texts.
