ACHPER Conference

I attended the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation Conference last week. The above photo is taken of one of the buildings at Monash University. Makes a lot of sense to me!

The conference provides educational opportunities to all who attend - no matter how experienced you are, there is always something new to learn. The opportunity to network with peers, catch up with former colleagues, encounter new/familiar vendors and suppliers as part of the trade exhibition, listening to how others are doing things; sharing how you do things - most engaging, relevant & fun!

Can't wait to put some newly acquired practices into the PE program in 2020!

Active Transport

With Summer now upon us, it is a great time to be getting outdoors and hitting the Joggers Track which will help you to feel more energized and invigorated and before you know it, you’ll be going about your day with an extra spring in your step.

CONGRATULATIONS to 3/4H on being the most active class for November.

PMP

This has finished for the year - a massive shout out to all the parents who have helped out this year, we could not run the program without you and your continued support is much appreciated. Particular thanks go to those parents who have turned up to help even when they were not rostered on and sometimes for both Prep and 1/2 sessions in the same week. You are AMAZING!!!

F-2 House Sports

Our Foundation - 2 students have been busy preparing for the F - 2 House Sports being held tomorrow. The House Sports are a fun and colourful way in which to finish the school year in a sporting sense. Students are encouraged to wear their school House colours. During our PE sessions we have been trying to run faster, throw further and jump longer so that we can earn points for our House in a fun and friendly competition. The event is being organised by our Year 5/6 students who are currently planning and preparing during their PE sessions.

CONGRATULATIONS to former student, Olympian Rhydian Cowley who won the National 50km walk on the weekend, to qualify for the Olympic Games being held in Japan next year.
