Father’s Day Breakfast - Friday 30 August from

A St Pius X College tradition, the Father's Day breakfast is always well attended and a lot of fun for all boys and dads. The P&F asks for a $7 contribution per family to cover the costs of bacon and egg rolls, muffins, juice and coffee.

Trivia Night

The Trivia night was a roaring success. Thank you everyone for coming and making the night memorable. The Senior Jazz Band were magnificent and really set the tone for the evening. Following the band performance we had the surprise appearance of Johnny B Goode & the Starlighters. The lead singer had real charisma and everyone was on their feet spurring him on. Incredible talent we have at St Pius X College!

The Trivia was challenging and entertaining, the dance-off separated the good from the bad and the best dressed table came as a Cluedo game. We had it all! Congratulations to "the Brilliant Bogans" captained by Cassie Buono on winning the trivia.

Our fantastic committee made all this happen. To Kate Shelton and Odette Shahady (PAPA), Lisa Garrett and Jo Anderson (Basketball Club), Cathy Thomson and Lorna Hammond (Football Club), Marisa Sheehan (Cricket Club), Paul O'Neill (Rugby Club) Rossana Bennet, Sarah Gillard, Chris Tysoe and Thomas Lau (P&F) Well done and thank you!

So many people donated prizes, sought prizes, bought prizes, wrapped hampers and set up and cleaned up the hall and I hope I haven't missed anyone, apologies if I have.

Larissa Marino, Bianca Kelly, Cassie Buono, Patricia Sissons, Steve Thomson Julie Charlton, Rachelle Baldock, Bernadette Chang, Anja Lineen, Carmel Daniels, Mary Thompson, Donna Hoy, Joanna Ryan, Janelle Arena, Maya Jamieson, Clarissa Wong, Melissa Fakhoury, James Buckingham, Aida and Daniel Moore, Linda Kugel, Brad Giersch, Clare and Blake Haymen, Maria and Angelo Guerrera, and our fantastic tally room counters James Makarewicz and Jill Greenwood.

We would also like to thank the SPX staff who attended and helped set up for the night as well as Chatswood and Oxford Falls grounds staff Wayne and Trent and the SPX Support Staff Maxine, Hilary, Sarah, Ann and Roslyn for storing donations and helping out in all sorts of ways.

Final thanks to the SPX Year 8 boys who set up the Gym as well the SPX boys who stayed after school on Friday to help out. It really was a whole school effort.

The money raised will support the Clubs in their good work providing great opportunities for your boys.

We have our Father's Day Breakfast coming up on Friday 30 August so please book in early for catering purposes.
