Student Wellbeing
Parents and staff know how fortunate we are to have such well behaved and respectful student at St Fidelis. We have very clear guidelines about behaviour management and any issues are always followed up and dealt with. As you would expect, it is not our policy to make public any dealings with students and parents, this is always done in a confidential manner.
We use a number of Casual Relief Teachers and it is always so nice to hear from all of them that our students are the best behaved that they have ever experienced in any school! When we have school visitors, they regularly comment on the outstanding behaviour and manners of our students. When our students attend public events and excursions comments are always made about their outstanding behaviour and how respectful they are.
On occasion, parents incorrectly label some behaviour as bullying.
We do not have any issues with bullying at St Fidelis in fact we rarely deal with incidents of this nature. We have well behaved students and if an incident occurs, it is always acted upon. We are all very proud of our wonderful students and of their behaviour.
We have always had a zero tolerance of bullying at our school and will continue to do so.
We encourage you to read the attached article by Michael Grose about what bullying isn't and some great advice for what to do if it does.
We are still in the early days of March but the Premier's Active April Challenge is encouraging us to register early. Join our team: stfidelis with the ID: stfidelis to be in the running for a number of prizes and to get the most out of your membership benefits.

Our wonderful Community Leaders, Ben and Anastasia, did a great job organising Clean Up St Fidelis' Day! on Friday. All the students came out early to pick up rubbish in our yards. As part of our Social Justice Day the students learnt about the Catholic Social Teaching of 'Stewardship of Creation'. God asks us to care for and protect all of creation. We can all help to care for our environment by putting rubbish in bins.
Students will have the opportunity this week to join one of our lunchtime activity clubs. This year we have a number of clubs that children can join: Origami; Loombands; Crochet; Board Games; Basketball and Netball. Our Community Leaders are currently helping to get these clubs up and running.
