This week we begin the third Sunday in lent. Lent is a time where we are preparing ourselves for the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is a time when we remember the wrong choices we have made and try to 'better' ourselves in the future choices we make. Yesterday's first reading was about the 10 commandments which were an essential part of the promise that God made with his people in the desert. Fr Michael spoke to us about how important the 10 commandments were, but more importantly how Jesus spoke to us about two very important commandments that we should aspire to live by so as to be contributors to a fair and just world. He asked the congregation if we knew what these two commandments were. Genevieve from 1/2 VC was able to clearly tell everyone that the comanddmetns we should strive to live by were: Love your neighbour and Love your God.
Congratualtions to Genevieve for recieving a cholcolate Lamb! Enjoy
Meanwhile, let us think of how we can make sure that we love our neighbours and love God. What can you do this week to prepare for Easter.
