Dear Parents and Friends
I cannot believe how quickly this term is going with only four weeks to go!
It was great to see so many families attend our parish mass yesterday. All families are encouraged to regularly attend mass where we listen to God’s word, and are nourished with the Eucharist.
All parents are encouraged to attend our workshops tomorrow night, Tuesday March 6 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Please enter via Hawthorn Street as the workshops will take place upstairs. Child minding is available in the hall.
Come and learn about some of our great approaches to learning. Parents will rotate through the following three 20 minute workshops:
Workshop 1 - Literacy
Spelling/Word Study - Words Their Way
Workshop 2 - Mathematics
Mental Computation
Workshop 3 - Inquiry
Currently we have some parents:
Double parking when dropping off
On Friday traffic infringement officers were fining parents who were illegally parked. Please obey the traffic rules and do not park illegally on or near the school crossings, so that we can ensure the safety of all.
If you are unsure of the rules, please refer to this attachment.
School photos went very smoothly last Tuesday. Special thanks to our parent helpers on the day, Mary Lombardozzi and Athena Theodore who did a wonderful job organising the students on the day. We expect photos to be delivered by the last week of term.
2019 Prep Enrolments open next Tuesday March 13, 2018. School Tours are available at 9:30 on Wednesday March 14 and Thursday March 15. Existing families are reminded to collect an enrolment form from the office.
This year the process has changed and is no longer facilitated by our school. Parents are now required to contact the Government Secondary School you intend to enroll your child in for all enquiries and enrolment applications. Application usually open in April.
Mrs Clarke's 1/2's will lead our assembly this Friday March 9th. Family and friends are always welcome.
Thank you to those parents who have already paid their school fees in full. If you are paying instalments over three terms, please note that the curriculum levy and Term One fees are now due.
Next Monday March 12th is a public holiday and there will be no school.
I hope you have a great week and enjoy the long weekend.
Kevin Gleeson.
