P & F News

Hello again 

The P & F committee hopes that you are your families have settled into the school year smoothly.  As mentioned in our last newsletter we are on track for organising some exciting activities and events for our St. Fidelis Community to attend. Please read onwards to save the dates, receive the information you require to plan for these events and to decide if you are able to volunteer at all.  Thanks so much!

Uniform Sale

TODAY after School - Monday 2nd March, Carly and Dan are running the first 2nd hand uniform stall for the year. The stall will be set-up in the Saunders St. yard.  At this stall you can purchase all the required uniform items for only $2, with the exception of the school jumper and girls winter pinafore, which will be sold for $5. The uniform items available for purchase are subject to stock availability and quality. Just a reminder to you all, there are no EFTPOS facilities available at this stall.

 

P & F General Meeting

TONIGHT in the MAIN STAFFROOM - Monday 2nd March at 7:30pm is the P & F general meeting. On the agenda are many fundraising ideas that we need to discuss for terms 2 – 4. We would love to meet some new members and look forward to hearing your ideas.

The P & F committee is a positive way to engage in your child’s learning by building relationships with parents across all year levels of the school community, the staff members within the school and the St. Fidelis extended community. REMEMBER – ALL ARE WELCOME, WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

 

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle

Coming up, on Labour Day long weekend, is St. Fidelis’ turn to run the famous BUNNINGS SAUSAGE SIZZLE. On Monday 9th March, we call on you, our family and friends to assist us with this profitable fundraiser. We ask that you put aside only 2 hours (or more) of your day to volunteer alongside your fellow St. Fids P & F to cook for and serve our community locals.

We are currently in the process of putting together a roster for the day, which will run from 8am – 4pm. During this time we require volunteers to help with set-up, cooking, serving, pack-up and money counting.

This fundraiser will only prove successful if we have enough volunteers for the day to run smoothly. So please, if you can spare any time on Monday 9th March to assist at the BBQ, respond with your name, and the amount of volunteers (partners, grandparents, friends welcome to help also) to the following contact: Anna – annag21@hotmail.com

Hot Food Day

Thanks to everyone that supported out first Hot Food Day for the year. Our students went through 75 Margherita pizzas, 225 sushi rolls & 163 iced donuts! A big thank you to the parents that packed & delivered the food to our hungry kids.

Our next HFD will be Tuesday 17 March .  This time on the menu there will be HOT DOGS and GREEN JELLY CUPS to honour St. Patrick’s Day. Ordering details will be sent home soon.

 

Easter Raffle

You may already be aware of the upcoming Easter Raffle that the P & F is organising, as recently a notice was sent home with children kindly asking that each family donate one Easter themed gift. The gift will be included in ONE OF THE MANY EASTER HAMPERS that will be offered as PRIZES! Donations can be placed in the provided box in your child’s classroom from now until Friday March 13th. Donation ideas are as follows – Easter themed chocolates, toys, books, crafts, socks, etc.

Shortly, families will also receive information on how to purchase raffle tickets and the winning hampers will be drawn on Friday 27th March – last day of Term 1. GOOD LUCK
