Student Wellbeing
All schools, just like the world we live in, are made up of children and families from diverse backgrounds with diverse needs. At St Fidelis', in our Catholic Tradition and in keeping with the values of the Catholic Social Teachings, we promote acceptance, understanding and tolerance for all, within our school and the broader community. The Education Department and Catholic Education Melbourne have provided 'Students With Disability' (SWD) Funding to help schools support students diagnosed with a disability. All schools from every sector in Australia have been participating in recent years in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process to determine the number of students who require support. The attached information explains to parents changes that are coming into place this year regarding SWD Funding and the NCCD. It is important that all parents read this information. If your child is currently receiving support or funding this information will be particularly relevant to you. Any parents that wish to discuss this can contact me through the office.
Dear Parents, attached is a letter for all Prep families. This letter gives an explanation of the Australian Early Development Census.
Every 3 years all schools submit this data for current Prep children. If you have a child in Prep this year please read it carefully. We will be submitting this data during the month of June. As the letter explains this information is anonymous and is used to inform policies and programs through the government.
If you have any further questions please speak to Michele Hedley this week or contact the office.
