Basketball

Thanks to all those who helped get the second half of the season up and running. The results weren’t exactly favourable for most of our teams; however, I was pleased with the effort the boys put into their games. All the A teams and C teams played hard and tough matches against St Augustine’s teams and despite the scores, all teams gave it their best.

In other games, regardless of the score, the boys were obviously enjoying playing the game with their friends which is something I think we miss at times, at the schoolboy level.

The A teams play at two different venues this Saturday. The 15As and 17As will play at NBISC Warriewood. The Firsts, 14As and 13As will play at Dunnett Hall which is at the Redlands Primary Campus in Alister Street, Cremorne.

  • Play of the day: Sotiri Xeni, (Open C2s) dribbled through traffic from hoop to hoop and slots the layup.
  • Game of the day: 13Fs win their first match. Well done Mr Anderson and the team.
  • Deserves a mention: All the boys who played on the weekend. I thought the teams did well considering we didn't have a chance to train prior to the games.
