The DUBE scholarship is the only scholarship or award presented by Jells Park PS. Its origins came from the Dube family that had two students go through the school – Shaan and Sidarth. The family was so happy and impressed with the educational and extra-curricular programs run by the school that they made a sizeable donation for a scholarship.

It was decided that the scholarship would be awarded to two students who staff best felt met the following conditions:

  • One boy and one girls from Level 5, going into Level 6,
  • Students who exemplified the school values of Respect, Excellence, Honesty and Resilience,
  • Students who tried their very best every day, no matter what the task or activity,
  • Students that were happy, courteous, friendly and engaging to peers and staff,
  • Students that became engaged and active in school events and programs,
  • Students that were respected by their peers,
  • Students that have shown all-round academic excellence (not necessarily superstars) but who work hard and achieve high standards,
  • Students that demonstrate great sportsmanship at all times,
  • Students that demonstrate excellent citizenship

The DUBE Scholarship is a $300 contribution towards school expenses in the following year.

The recipients of the scholarship for 2020 are Kevin B and Mia B. Congratulations to you both.
