                                                 First Communion Family Evening

On Tuesday 17th May our year 4 students and their families gathered for a First Communion Family Evening.

Once again we were fortunate to have Pia and Michelle from the Presentation Family Program to run our Eucharist sessions. Under the guidance of our facilitators children and parents connected through sharing thoughts about gospel stories and family life. Pia and Michelle brought to life the important parts of the Mass - to gather, to listen, to receive and to go out. Children reflected on how these parts of the Mass are also part of our lives. They practised receiving the host and parents had the opportunity to express their hopes and prayers for their child.

Thanks to the families who came, and to our year 4 staff, Jo Hurley and Gavin Griffith, who came along to support children in their classes. Thanks to Marty, Fr Kevin and Helen Dee who also came to support families.
