Deputy Principal Report

              Matthew Mooney

Dear Parents,

It has continued to be a busy time at St Cecilia's with NAPLAN testing, Swimming Lessons and Sacreamental Family nights for both the First Reconciliation and First Communion Candiadates.

Next week our swimming prgram will conclude and representatives from years 3 - 6 will compete in the District Cross Country.

Swimming Lessons

We are one week down with 4 lessons to go next week. Students will complete the swimming program next Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Note: there is no swimming next Tuesday. This is to avoid a class with the District Cross Country that is on that day and will involve students from year 3-6 who qualified on our School Cross Country Day earlier this term.

Friday will be a water safety day.

The swimmers will need to bring shorts/tshirts or old PJs to wear in the pool over their bathers. Swimming caps will still be needed.

The students have been doing a wonderful job and are looking forward to some fun activites to conclude the program.

Interrelate - Relationship and Sex Education Program

We have again engaged Interrelate to run relationship and sex education sessions with our senior students this year.

For our Year 5 and 6 students the

'Moving Into the Teen Years' Programs are booked for Tuesday 31st May, 7th June and 14th June.

For our Year 4, 5 and 6 girls the

'Managing Menstruation' sessions are booked for Tuesday 31st May and Tuesday 7th June.

Please Note - If you have a Year 4 daughter, you will need to opt in for this session by using the google form linked at the bottom of this form.

Next Tuesday 24th May, 7pm Interrelate are running a Parent Information Session.

They offer this session to accompany primary-school program bookings. This session provides parents and carers with information about the content, language and strategies used in our programs. It is helpful for schools as well as parents and carers who may be unfamiliar with our work.

We encourage all parents with a child who will be involved in one of the above sessions to join us for the parent session.

Note this session is only for Year 4,5 or 6 Parents

You will need to follow the below link to register and secure your place in the session:
