Street Pianos - 'Play Me... I'm Yours!'

As part of an exciting Performing Arts project, the school has received two pianos which are situated outside the Performing Arts room and are available for students across all year levels to play music on before and after school, as well as at recess and lunch times.

KPPS would like to thank the Fowler family, along with the Program for Recycled Educational Pianos in Schools Initiative for the kind donation of the pianos.

In the past two weeks students from all year levels have been showing their wonderful school values when sharing and playing respectfully on the ‘street pianos’ to make beautiful music to fill our school yard! We have also enjoyed the opportunity for parents and careers to share their hidden musical talents during school drop-off and pick-up!

In the coming weeks the Performing Arts squad will be working on sanding back and preparing the pianos so that next term the Grade Six cohort will be able to ‘leave their mark’ by painting and decorating them with beautiful and uniquely designed art work.

Stay tuned for further updates!
