Morning Storytime

Both junior and senior students have enjoyed morning storytime over the last couple of weeks. It has been wonderful to see so many of our students enjoying and sharing stories and their love of reading. Students have been listening to or reading various books, from picture storybooks to comic books to non-fiction books to chapter books! Morning storytime is every morning except for Fridays from 8:30 to 8:45 am. Come and join in the fun!

Last Thursday 26th May, Holy Family welcomed a very special visitor, Rex the Possum. Rex promoted his love of reading and explained (with a little help!) why reading is so important. Students had the opportunity to ask Rex many questions. Rex very generously left boxes of books for students to choose a book to take home. Thank you Rex and thank you Hema for organising this event. Teachers also read students a story and everyone participated in a special activity based on the story that had been shared.

This week, our junior students listened to stories read by different staff members during eating time. They have loved listening to stories read by Mr Twomey, Mrs Blaney, Miss Sam, Miss Feddersen, Miss Moran and Mrs Drossaert.
