Emergency Evacuation Drill

Today we had an emergency evacuation drill where the whole school evacuated to the oval. As the alarm sounded it was explained clearly to staff and students that this was a drill. All staff and students evacuated calmly and the quickest that we have over the last few years. 

Inquiry

The staff had a fantastic day of learning with Shaz Bailey on Monday. We have started brainstorming possibilities for next term's inquiry based on the concept of perspective through the history and indigenous perspectives Victorian curriculum.

Today I also met with a group of parents to gain parent input into the inquiry. We had a great session discussing perspective and the different possibilities. Over this next week the teachers will work with the students getting their initial input into the inquiries by asking have they ever experienced someone having a different opinion to themselves (their connection to perspective) and their wonderings about Australian history , indigenous perspectives and having different perspectives.
