Vice - Captains Report

Hi everyone,

Firstly, Happy Mother’s Day to all our mums, aunties and grandmas. As most of you know, we had the Mother’s Day stall last week which was very successful. Thank you to the parent volunteers who set up and ran the stall. The prep students made fairy bread and invited their mums in for morning tea last Friday, whilst the Grade 1 and Grade 2 students hosted an afternoon tea to celebrate their mums last Monday. It was great to have parents allowed onsite again and enjoy interacting with staff and students.

At recess, on most days, our very own Mrs Mega runs Dance Club. This is a place where students and teachers can go and have fun, basically just dance! Anyone that is playing basketball can also hear the music, and it gives the game an upbeat feeling to it. Dance club is spectacular and amazing. You should try it out, not only does it let you go back to class in a good mood, but it also makes you fit and healthy because you're moving around a lot. Choir with Mrs Mega and Ms Macdonald has also recommenced on Thursdays at recess.

Our school is a polling booth for the upcoming federal election. Any parents or carers that have not voted yet can come to Melton West Primary School on the 21st of May and cast their vote.

Have a great week!

Chloe and Ulus
