Staggered Recess, Lunch and Dismissal times

If parents/guardians can have conversations with their students regarding the following information:

Staggering Recess and Lunch

Year 8 and 10 students will leave class 10 minutes early. There will be no bell. The classroom teacher will escort their class out to the locker bays and then remain in the yard actively roving to where students are until the break bell sounds.

Year 7 and 9 students will enter class 10 minutes late. There will be no bell. The classroom teachers will supervise the locker bays actively roving to where students are, remain in the yard with students for 10 minutes and usher them inside.

Ball games still finish on the bell

End of Day

In order to minimise significant traffic out of the school the following year levels will be released and asked to move off the school groups at 2:50 as per roster below:

Week 9 – Year 8 and 10

Week 10 – Year 7 and 9

Week 11 – Year 8 and 9

On the last day of term 8 and 9s will be released at 2:05

Please encourage your students to remain in the following areas:

Year 7, 8, 9 – Yard 2, 3

Year 10, 11&12 – Yard 1, Oval, Behind Gym
