School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)

Welcome Back to School for our Foundation to Year 2 Students

Yay! We are officially back at school for the Foundation to Year 2 students. The Junior School  and Year 2 Teachers have been extremely impressed with how resilient our students are in returning back to onsite learning.

As part of the students re-engagement back, the teachers have been revising and re-setting the climate in their classrooms. They have been working hard at establishing routines for the students as well as having their safety and wellbeing as a top priority.

As a SWPBS School we focus on improving the social, emotional, behavioural and academic outcomes for our students. The teachers and students then have more time to focus on relationships and learning. Students at our school can  benefit from:

  • increased respectful and positive behaviour
  • increased time focused on instruction
  • improved social-emotional wellbeing
  • positive and respectful relationships among students and staff
  • increased adoption of evidence-based instructional practices
  • a predictable learning environment with improved perceptions of safety and increased attendance.

Wonderful Insights about being back at school from our Year 1 students:

My favourite thing about being back at school is:

Sophie- When I get to see my friends and do learning again.

Chelsea- Being able to learn, seeing all my friends

Zoe K- Seeing teachers, doing school work and seeing my friends

Mason J- Seeing all my friends

Dylan - I like being at school and playing with my friends
