Pollution

Pollution is a worldwide problem. It's killing animals every minute. We need to fix this right now or by the time it's 2040 they'll all be gone! Today I'm here to convince people why they shouldn't litter. Littering shouldn't even be a thing.

Just imagine close your eyes and visualise everything I say.

Turtles eating plastic and choking because it looked like a jellyfish.

Whales being so hungry they would eat anything so they eat plastic.

Open your eyes again, everything we litter goes down the drain and out to the ocean. What if you were a turtle and you died because you thought plastic was a jellyfish?

THIS IS EVERYDAY LIFE. So stop littering. The ocean is the animals home and over 8 million pieces of rubbish go into the ocean a day. So how would you feel if put 8 million + pieces of rubbish in your home a day? I’d be annoyed and angry so just listen to what I’m trying to say and make a change.

City of Casey Leadership Forum

Inspire is an innovative personal development opportunity for Grade 5 & 6 students, designed to encourage and motivate students and provide them with the tools they need to further develop their leadership skills. Year 6 Leaders and some Year 5 students took part in this fabulous opportunity on Wednesday 3rd June via remote.

Here are some of the comments from the students who attended:

We listened to four people, the captain from Western Bulldogs AFLW, a singer, a rap poet and the City of Casey younger people. They talked about being a leader. We did a Kahoot and about 400 people did it. It was it was a good day.

The leaders day was good. I liked listening to the footballer. She talked about being resilient. If you lose you get back up again.
