Music news

Students are having a great time practicing ventriloquism and working on their sock puppets. If you haven’t sent a sock to school with your child yet – it’s not too late.

Foundation to Year 2

We’ve had a lot of fun working on our puppets and practicing ventriloquism. Some letters of the alphabet are much harder to say when your lips are locked!

Grade 3 and 4 students

Please bring a clean sock to Music next week. We have all the materials ready to go! We want everyone to have fun making puppets and trying their hand at ventriloquism, something different than online work!

Years 5 and 6

To our wonderful students,

We are really looking forward to you returning to school next week.

Thank you for the suggestions you are sending through for Battle of the Bands songs. When you return next week we will review the repertoire and start working on the structure of the music as well as visiting some of the more interesting activities from

TEAMS.

Unfortunately due to Covid – 19 health recommendations we will not be able to share guitars, pianos, drums and microphones just yet. Hopefully we will be able to do this in Term 3.

Choir

As with the instruments, we will not be able to run choir with such large groups. However, the repertoire for Choir is online in TEAMS and I will work through some of the songs in class time. We will have to wait and see in terms of the Night of Music concert.

To finish with here is our weekly gallery of talented IPS students.

Stay well and enjoy your music.
