Staff Member of the Week

Lisa Mathieson

We have so many fabulous Education Support staff who make varied and valued contributions to our school. May 16 was Education Support day, so it seems fitting that this week’s ‘Staff Member of the Week’ recognises the work of a much loved Education Support staff member. Lisa Mathieson brings so much to Healesville High School. She really knows students and finds ways to connect with them when they need it the most and always looks for opportunities to address the needs of our school community. During the remote learning period, Lisa has been proactive and creative, enabling her to continue to support staff and students. She has supported Year 12 students by setting up opportunities for them to connect with each other and staff. Lisa runs a weekly Kahoot Quiz session with staff and we’ve loved learning more about each other (sometimes!) and finishing the week with a laugh. Thanks Lisa, we love what you do!

This week the staff member that has been really amazing is Lisa. She is always willing to help and she is always happy to chat as well!- Eve Burt

I’d like to acknowledge Lisa Mathieson, she has gone above and beyond to make sure the whole of Year 12 is safe, happy and well. She has privately helped me and I’m sure a number of other students and families. I’d just like to say thank you to her on the behalf of all the Year 12 VCE students as she has really made an impact on our mindset and how we see this situation.- Eboni Hubbard

Lisa is doing excellent work but in particular, she is being proactive with things such as virtual lunchroom and Kahoot for staff. There are many worthy recipients of this prestigious award but I think Lisa is especially deserving.
