Year 1/2–Celebrating Learning

1/2 - Mainstream

The 1/2 mainstream focus has been the wellbeing of all students as they transition from home back to school. Students have had the chance to reflect and share their learning with their peers. Below are some photos of their home learning experiences.

Staff at TPS have all commented on how settled, calm and ready for the learning the children have been. This is a testament to the support and hard work that you, our families, put in to helping students remain connected to TPS and their learning.

Thanks for all of your efforts, we are very grateful.

1S Gugums - The Wise Owls

Class 1 have had a wonderful return to school. We have spending time reconnecting with one another, re-learning our Deadly Values and our classroom expectations. In Main Lesson, we have discovered all five of the vowel angels and two main sounds. As we move into a new Main Lesson, we will explore poetry inspired by our local surroundings, the weather and the seasons. Hands-on crafts and activities will be inspired by the wintery weather!

2S Dandans - The Parrots

Returning to TPS has been an exciting transition for our class and we have spent time re-connecting and re-visiting our learning topics from the start of the term. In our Main Lesson, Animal Fables, we have learnt about making connections, making predictions as well as strategies to help us visualise while reading. We have begun to use Origami as a way to learn about the different types and shapes of animals and explore their personalities through play.
