In the Arts / Craft

Art/Craft in May

Students had a lot of fun exploring the various art/craft activities on Google Classroom and Seasaw for Foundation students. Some of the themes we were looking was shadows cast by the sun on plants and leaves. We then went on to create salt dough ornaments and mobiles. Shoes then became our focus, looking at realistic shoes and fantasy shoes. The younger children made shoe rubbings from the soles of shoes. Our final online learning for 3 to 6 students was a design project. They became graphic designers and were asked to redesign a tissue box.

Below is a sample of some of the art created by our students.

I have been very impressed with students and families enthusiasm with all the projects. I have loved seeing the creative way families engaged in the works.I am very excited to get back to the art room and to work with students face to face again.
