Yr 7 Passion Poems

MOUNTAIN BIKE- PATRICK W

Mountain Bikes are the adventurous kind

They will go places out of your mind

Into valleys and up mountains

Following all of my directions

The feel of air rushing past my face

And going so fast that I’m in a race

Riding through the trails

And sliding in the dust

The sight of wildlife in bushes

And a river while it pushes

Smelling dust in the air

And hearing birds sing

Riding away from everyone

Underneath the hot sun

Trees going past me

Their leaves providing shade

Rain touching my skin

Mud makes me grin

Rain stings like ice

And the Wind whips around

Clouds clearing away

Riding through the day

Birds sing again

And joy from the ride comes

BUTTERFLY - HANNAH G

Strong and Beautiful

Majestic wings flapping in the wind

Hard and fast pushing through the water

Gracefully landing on a pretty flower

Touching the wall with the force of no other

Swooping down to collect the nectar

Diving into the depths of the pool

The sweet nectar running through my veins

Feel of the water rushing in my hair

My wings spread wide

My arms ready to fly

I soar through the air

Flipping at the end

I open up the chrysalis

I take the breath of life

My purpose is not known
