Reflection

Dear Parents,

We are fast approaching the end of term and Holy Week.

Next Wednesday 5th April at 10.15 am in the school hall,  our children will present the Easter Story.

We invite community members to join us as we celebrate the events of Holy Week with our children.

Doors to the hall will open at 10.00 am.

This is  one of the most important celebrations in our Christian calendar.

After His crucifixion, death, and burial, Christ rose from the grave three days later. By this, he conquered death and saved us from sin.

We believe that even though Jesus is not physically among us, we trust that he is still present in our hearts.

Eucharist and Confirmation 2023.

Father Nathan has invited the children who are to receive the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation to celebrate their sacraments on the evening of Friday 19th May at 6.00pm.

This coincides with our Parish 160 Celebrations and the visit of Bishop Shane McKinley.

The children have begun their preparation here at school with myself and will meet each Monday afternoon.

The children will also be supported in their class Religious education program next term and will bring home activities to complete in their books with parents each week.

Please contact the school if you have any questions or if you wish your child to receive the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. (Children need to have been baptised and to have received the sacrament of Reconciliation. )

Monday come dressed in what you want to be when you grow up day.

On Monday 3rd April our Social Justice Student leaders are holding their final fundraiser for Caritas.

They are inviting children to come dressed as what you want to be when you grow up.

By raising money for Caritas our children are helping other children they have been learning about through Caritas, to be able to be what they dream about when they grow  up.

Please send along a gold coin donation.

Keep it simple and use items from around the home for your child to dress up in.

Child Safety

Who is collecting your child from School?

A little reminder to let us know via your child’s teacher or the office, if the arrangements for collecting your child from school changes.

Please inform us if someone unexpected is to collect your child at the end of the day so that we know it is fine to let the child leave.

Phones at School

Just a reminder that phones are not to be at school.

If any staff member sees a child with a phone at school, the phone will be placed in the office area until the end of the day when the child is able to collect it.

If parents need to communicate with their child during the school day, this can be done via their teacher or through the office.

Excursion Grade 3/4

On Thursday our grade three and four children will travel to the  Performing Arts Centre to view Mr. Stink.

The children are  looking forward to being entertained and if past performances are an indication, they will enjoy every minute of the show!

Enrolments for 2024

If you have a child ready to start school in Foundation for 2024, please contact the office for an enrolment form.

If you know of any other families who  have a child in kinder and will be ready for school in 2024, please invite them to come along to our school for a tour.
