Technology News

Prep

Prep students have been learning the basics of woodworking, including the safe and proper use of our school nibblers. You may have seen a copy of the Nibbler Booklet which each student has been given. To ensure their safety, the students are provided with earmuffs and safety glasses, which they wear while learning how to cut and shape wood.

Grade 1/2

Our Grade 1/2 students have recently completed their projects and are now exploring their creativity with a range of technology activities. Some students have been using the nibblers, while others have been engaging in digital activities such as Minecraft, Scratch Jr., and Lightbot to develop their programming and problem-solving skills.

Grade 3/4

Grade 3/4 students have just completed their first term of Technology, and I'm thrilled with their progress and enthusiasm for learning. Throughout the term, the students have all had the opportunity to experience Kartoffl, using their problem-solving skills and creativity to navigate their way through challenging levels.

Grade 5/6

Our Grade 5/6 students have been hard at work creating short videos on counting for our Prep students. As the term draws to a close, the students are putting the finishing touches on their productions, carefully editing and refining their work to ensure that it is of the highest possible quality. I have no doubt that their videos will delight and inspire our Prep students.

As we look ahead to Term 2, I can't wait see the new challenges and opportunities students will be exploring in technology.
