Wellbeing

Emily Murcott - Wellbeing Coordinator

The holidays are nearly upon us! I hope you all cherish the time you get to spend with your children. I often try to reconnect with my children through board games, movie nights, holding a formal dinner (we all dress up), catch up with extended family at the park, create a cubby and sleep in it over night,  make a puzzle and we often take our dogs for a walk to get a milkshake or cuppa at the local shops.

This term has seen many highlights such as the Colour Run, students presenting assembly, incursions and excursions, engaging learning, lunchtime clubs, and most of all for our Prep students it has been a term filled with so much to learn and get used to the routine of school. Well done everyone for your efforts.

As we move into April, I encourage everyone of you to be active. Action For Happiness have created a calendar to follow or use for ideas. Some include thoughts and goals, and some include actions. Hopefully the weather fines up and you are able to participate in activities outdoors. I hope you can be brave and try new activities that you have not already tried or know much about. You never know you may find a new activity which you love.

Have a wonderful last week of term 1, and a extra fantastic holiday. Stay safe. I'm looking forward to seeing you in term 2.

Featuring six modules with bite-sized activities, the Resilient Families Program helps kids develop key social and emotional skills and equips parents and carers with the tools to support them to build their mental fitness.

Benefits of the Resilient Families Program

Children develop key social and emotional skills, including:

  • Understanding and navigating emotions.
  • Building self-worth and strong relationships.
