Principal Report

Dear families,

As we close out the term it is a time for reflection. While it has been busy it has been an excellent term for everyone involved. I would like to acknowledge the students for their ability to adapt to the changes to the school day, continuing to thrive in their learning.

We have ticked off some big-ticket items for students and families including:

  • 64 Preps starting school
  • Information nights
  • Getting to know you interviews
  • Camps for grade 34 and 56
  • Colour run fundraiser
  • Whole school athletics
  • 56 Sports Gala
  • Easter morning tea and fundraiser
  • Harmony day
  • A curriculum day focussed on Writing
  • Mid-term reports
  • A new school council group
  • Shade sails in the quad
  • Some artificial grass fitted (more to follow!)

Over the holiday period the school will be closed but there will be plenty of work happening. The remaining artificial grass will be fitted the first week and posts for the shade sails that will go over the rainbow play equipment will be fitted in week 2. Two new exciting additions to the school.

Laptops for grade 34 and 56 will be returned on Thursday. Please ensure that children have a case, bag or box so they are kept safe.

A reminder that we finish school at 1:30pm on Thursday. There is no assembly.

The first week back we have a curriculum day on the Monday where again we will focus on improving engagement in writing. We then have ANZAC day. A great time to talk to your children about Australian and New Zealand history.

We will see you on Wednesday 26th April. Enjoy the extended break.

Best wishes,

Craig
