Feedback from the Police:

Hi Ash

I visited today to catch up with your Road Patrol team.

I watched the patrols this morning and chatted with Crystal, the supervisor; they were doing a great job.

After practising on the road, everyone was issued a badge.

Juniors checking out Turtle Care at WHS - Shane even cleans their shells with a toothbrush.

Our Bush is a great place for creative play and exploration.

Our local Waitakere Ranges Ranger visited our school to check out our Native Bush area and give us advice on its care.

While there, he discovered we have a wild Kaka Beak plant. There are only 150 of these plants growing wild in all of New Zealand, so we are very blessed to have one, and will be sure to look after it well.

Our ESOL learners enjoyed art and language activities with Jessica.

Our juniors had a cool visit from our local friendly Community Policeman - they had turns on the loud-speaker and tried out the sirens.

Learning Conferences were a great success - thank you so much to all our parents who made the big effort to come along, or to attend a Zoom conference. We got close to our 100% goal.

Massive congratulations to our Year One teaching team for putting together a fantastic display of the Foundation Curriculum, Junior Literacy and Numeracy and our Structured Approach to Play-Based Learning. It was a lot of work, but so valuable and informative for our parents.
