DISTRICT SWIMMING CARNIVAL, MARCH 3rd

Well done to all 26 of our Carnegie swim squad members who performed incredibly well at last week’s District Swimming Carnival. As a school, we managed to finish 5th in the overall competition which is a great accomplishment from all.  This is a terrific effort and our District squad should feel very proud!

We had some outstanding individual results on the day including many personal bests, as well as a few ribbons to boot. Particular noteworthy achievements included:

• Elliot M winning both of his individual events to qualify for the Division
• Owen H, Alex C, Ella R for winning an individual event and qualifying for Division
• The 11 year old boys freestyle team who also qualified
• Katya, Cyson, Will J, Molly X and Katya B showing maturity beyond their years by participating as our Grade 3 team members.
• All our 2nd and 3rd place getters – we had multiple podium finishes!

Congratulations again to all children involved – an exceptional effort by all!

We wish Ella R, Elliot M, Alex C, Flynn W, Angus B and Owen H all the best at the Division Swimming Carnival on Tuesday 14th March. We are very keen hearing how you went. Well Done!
