Library News
New Books
The College Library is cataloguing new books regularly. We recently acquired some great sets, we love the fact that we are getting so many borrowers through our English KLA's reading for pleasure program. The displays were updates since the last newsletter, so please, come and browse and borrow. Please see Mrs Lemon or Mrs Wicks if you need any help finding or borrowing a book.
Returning Library Books
If you have any library books or class novels at home, now is the time to bring them in. There are some textbooks that need to be returned also, especially Year 11 Physics in Focus (this does not apply to Year 11 Physics students in 2023).
We accept any O'Connor Library books back into our collection. Even if they are found from a student that attended a few years ago. Please drop them into the College office or students can bring them into the library.
Books for Parents and Carers
We have many news books that even your parents or guardians may like to read. Titles can be searched via our online catalogue Oliver which can be found via compass or our website.
Books For All Abilities
The College Library has books for all reading abilities and it has been great to see many of our new 'easy read' section being borrowed. Our Teacher Librarian Mrs Glenda Lemon is also our College Careers Advisor. For advice on careers, see the Careers page of the newsletter.
EASY READS: Our collection of easier to read books is expanding.
Searching the Catalogue from home
Our Catalogue can be accessed via the Compass App. Just click on the star at the top and find 'Oliver'. Oliver is the name of our Library Catalogue. New books will be visible on the catalogue home page or you can search you favourite title or author. Students can also borrow for their parents and carers.
