Student Engagement
School Captains
The transition students have been working on their school captain video applications throughout term 1. Each of the students across the school have voted on who they would like as their school captain. We would like to thanks all applicants for their hard work in preparing their videos and also to congratulate Sean Waldron and Siraj Shah on being elected the Croydon SDS Captains for 2023.
Harmony Day
Harmony Day was Tuesday 21st March, and it was to celebrate inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone. Harmony Day is a time for all Australians to remember and respect our diverse cultural backgrounds and to share what we have in common. The central message of Harmony Day is that ‘everyone belongs’.
Students participated in classroom based activities as well as a whole school art project focusing on 'a piece of the puzzle'. When all the art work was put together, they made up the mural you can see below. Thankyou to all the students for making Harmony Day such a success.
Inclusion / House Colours Day
Wednesday 5th of April was Inclusion / House Colours Day! Croydon SDS Inclusion Day is a day dedicated to ensuring that individuals of various abilities, backgrounds, ages, races, religions, genders, and other characteristics are accepted, welcomed, and treated fairly.
All students across the school participated in a range of activities to build a sense of belonging to their house team, celebrate Inclusion Day and the end of term 1! Over the page are some photos of students from across the school!
