Wellbeing and Inclusion

 Mrs Courtney Hoffmann

Dear Karoo Community,

Thank you to all students, families, staff and our wider school community who have been embracing and demonstrating our school values of Kindness, Tenacity and Personal Excellence this term.  It has been a pleasure to see how supportive our community is to each other.

Karoo Values: Kindness

The Student Wellbeing Leadership Team has seen first hand the kindness being demonstrated at our school.  This has been through their 'Random Acts of Kindness' initiative.  Last week at assembly students and teachers were celebrated for their kind acts towards other and for making our school a better place.

The holidays are a great opportunity to continue your 'random acts of kindness' and spreading the great word through our community.  You can use the calendar below to help with ideas for how to make our world a better place.

Real School Partnership

On Monday the 24th April all Karoo staff will be taking part in a professional learning day which will focus on further learning around restorative practices and supporting student wellbeing.  This day will be facilitated by our Real School Partnership facilitator, Shelia Bollard, and all staff are looking forward to engaging in this learning further to support our students.  We look forward to sharing this learning with you and sharing strategies with our wider school community.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Term 1 holiday and I look forward to seeing you fresh and ready for a great Term 2.

Kind Regards,

Courtney Hoffmann
