District Cross Country

Congratulations to all students who have earned the opportunity to participate in the Rowville District Cross Country competition being held on Friday 5th May at Jells Park, Wheelers Hill.  The bus from school will be leaving at 9am and competitors are to meet in the gym at 8.50am. The event will start at 10am and conclude at approximately 12:30pm. Please refer to Compass for information regarding consent and payment required. 

House Athletics

Our Year 3-6 House Athletics Day is fast approaching and will take place on Friday 19th May. On this day, all students will travel to Ringwood Athletics Track and compete in 8 different track and field athletics events, including hurdles, 100m, 200m, 800m, long jump, triple jump, discus and shot put. The students have been practicing for these events during their weekly P.E sessions. The afternoon P.E Fun club has also provided further opportunity for students to prepare for these events. Information regarding consent and payment required will be available via Compass early in Term 2. 

Knox Division Girls Football Day 

Our school has been invited to the 2023 Knox Division Girls Football Day. This event will be held on Thursday 8th June at Kings Park Reserve, Upper Ferntree Gully. The event will run the whole day, beginning at 9:30am and concluding at 2:30pm. Mouth guards are compulsory. SSV, Knox Council and Upper Ferntree Gully FC COVID Protocols will be applied at this event. Following the same process as previous years, our Year 6 students will be guaranteed first preference with the option being available for Year 5 students to be selected for the team if numbers permit. If you would like to express interest in your child participating, please complete the Google Form via the link below: https://forms.gle/qpzaRYEE96Sjy3As8

Year 5/6 Sport

During Term 1, the Year 5 and 6 students have enjoyed training for their allocated sport of either AFL, Bowls, Netball, Soccer or Teeball. On Friday 26th May and Friday 9th June, all students who have been selected for the teams will compete against 7 other schools in the Rowville District in the Winter Round Robin. Information regarding consent and payment required will be available via Compass early in Term 2.
