Fun Intentional Maths with MAV

Today our students in Year 3-5 took part in 90 minutes of learning and exploring mathematics with special guests presenting fluency tasks, a problem-solving challenge and a crazy challenge thrown in just for fun!

Word from our teachers is that the students loved the maths session and that they were so engaged many wanted to keep working into recess time to get it finished!

Our Year 6s will be eager and ready to get involved next week!

Author/Illustrator visit with Zeno Sworder

Over the past two days, our Preps to Year 6s were online with Zeno Sworder - hearing about his pathway to becoming an author, his background and family, and even being lucky enough to have a sneak peek at his new book in the making!

Zeno encouraged us to always pick up a book and read as 'A Book a Door.'A couple of our Year 2 students rephrased this to mean 'It takes you into a new world' - we couldn't agree more!!
