Hello Friends! 

Welcome back for Term 4! I’m so excited to get back into the classroom, where we can explore our imaginations, create and get a bit messy! 

This term, our whole school theme for Visual Arts is Japan! Japanese artwork is extremely diverse and detail orientated. We will learn about Japanese culture, history and some really exciting new artistic skills. The students will explore collage, printmaking, fabric dyeing and the art of Notan. 

The students will extend their knowledge and understanding of colour, shape and texture to create artworks inspired by Japan. They will learn about the Japanese artist Hokusai and attempt to replicate his unique techniques.
