Summer Sport

Summer sport trials will commence next Tuesday. Below is the list of trial dates based on the Stage group that students belong to. It is very important that you attend the set date so that teams can be finalised by the end of Week 6.

As stated in last week’s newsletter, I am permitting students to trial for more than one sport. Students will however only be permitted to play in one sport.

Trial dates:

Tuesday 2nd November

Years 7/8 Boys' Basketball

Years 7/8 Girls' Basketball

Years 9/10 Girls' Touch Football

Tuesday 9th November

Years 9/10 Boys' Basketball

Year 11 Boys' and Girls' Touch Football

Cricket - Stage 5

Thursday 4th November

Years 7/8 Boys' Touch Football

Years 7/8 Girls' Touch Football

Years 9/10 Girls' Basketball

Thursday 11th November

Years 9/10 Boys' Touch Football

Year 11 Boys' and Girls' Basketball

Cricket – Stage 6

During Term 4 students will be permitted to leave training in their BMGS sports gear. Please ensure you have the correct gear for trials.

The official ISA competition will be run in Term 1, however, depending on restrictions it may be possible to have some trial games at the end of this term.

Once teams are selected it will be very important for uniforms to be ordered so that these will arrive prior to the start of the season.

Good News!

It has been announced that the NSW All Schools Athletics Championships will go ahead this year. These championships will be held from 9th to 12th December. To compete at this event you need to self-nominate. If you are part of an Athletics Association you can gather further information through your association.
