Galilee Name Day 

This Friday we celebrate the name day of our school Galilee. As members of the Galilee community our Catholic faith embodies our whole being. 

Our School Prayer is a very important part of our faith at school, with the school prayer a prominent feature of our school assemblies and school community gatherings. 

Lord Jesus,

Bless our school by the sea 

our family community of Galilee.

In faith and love help us grow,

you’re always with us, this we know.

Guide us as we learn and play, 

Give us courage for each new day.

With generous hearts and helping hands 

we hope for good things across all lands.

Bless us Lord to follow your rule

As we ‘Rise to the Challenge’ at Galilee School.

Congratulations to Joanna and Adam on your wedding celebrated on Saturday 2 October. 

May it be remembered as the beginning of many joyous moments in your life together.

Roadmap for Return to School

The NSW Government has created a staggered return to school plan for students. It is strongly encouraged that children continue to remain learning at home until their scheduled date. Of course, all plans are susceptible to change, and we will continue to be directed by the NSW Government, NSW Health, NSW Department of Education and SCS. 

The dates for return to face-to-face learning at school are: 

Term 4 Week 3 - 18 October - Kindergarten & Year 1 

Term 4 Week 4 - 25 October - Year 2 & Year 6 

Term 4 Week 5 - 1 November - Year 3, Year 4, Year 5

Covid Credits for Services Not Provided

In light of the current Covid Pandemic, we continue to seek ways in which our school can support our parents and communities. As such, we will provide a credit against school fees for services that will not be provided as a result of Covid. The credit is for services such as sports, excursions/incursions, swimming programs, camps, retreats etc. 

The credit will automatically be applied against your account and will be visible on your October fee statements. Where applicable, the credit will be carried over into future years and will offset any future fees.

Deepest Sympathy

We offer our thoughts and prayers to the Gorton Family (Ela in Kindergarten), who lost their mother and grandmother, Evelyn Joyce Gorton. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family at this sad and difficult time. May eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
